This is what I have been looking for. Now you can listen to your favorite indian (Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and many other indian languages ) songs on your iPhone or ipod touch. Raaga.com now supports live streaming on your iphone.
Just open Safari on your iphone and go to raaga.com you can listen to indian movie songs.
Breaking News : YSR is dead. Missing helicoptor found on a hill

Central government has announced that they have found 5 dead bodies at the crash site. YSR is dead. Very sad news.
TV9 News has just reported that AP CM YSR helicotor was spotted on top a hill near Kurnool. Indian Airforce pilot has spotted the helicopter. No further details are available on the status of the helicopter if it crashed or landed safely.
Four airplanes in the base camp are headed to the site where helicopter was found.
AP CM YSR is missing for more than 24 appears after the helicopter he was traveling vanished over Nallamala Forests near Karnool. People in Andhra Pradesh and India were worried and following the news closely.

TED India in November 2009
The famous get together of intellectuals and achievers is coming to India. TED (stands for Technology – Entertainment – Design) conference is a 3 day event with speeches and presentations by successful businessmen, scientists, inventors and achievers in other areas.
TED conferences are very informative and also very entertaining. Watch some of the TED videos posted in this blog to get some taste of TED speeches. There will be other events and cultural programs apart from speeches.

How to connect your computer / laptop to your tv?
Well, I bought a new HD tv and wanted to connect my laptop to my TV so that I can watch the pod-casts and indian TV programs and movies on big screen TV. There are different ways you can connect your computer to tv depending on availability of ports on your TV and computer.
S Video Cable : Most of the old tvs and computers also have S video port. New tvs and computers do not have this port. My samsung HD tv and Dell laptop do not have this port. You need to buy a s video cable to connect the computer to TV. You can buy this in Walmart or online for less than 10 bucks. There are two types of S video ports, 5 pin and 7 pin so make sure you are buying the right s video cable.
HDMI Cable : This is the best way to connect provided you have HDMI ports on your TV and computer. I believe all HD TVs have this port and some of the new computers have this port. I am lucky, the Dell laptop I bought an year ago has HDMI port. HDMI is the best cable to transfer HD signal. You can buy HDMI cable for around 10 bucks. I bought mine from monoprice.com for 10 bucks.
Mint.com – Best way to moniter and manage your financials
I use mint.com to monitor all my credit cards, checking and savings accounts. You can see trends in your spending, your monthly average expenses by category. You can also budget your expenses by category and it will send you alerts when you exceed the budget. Pie charts by category, you net worth, your total income and expenses in the last 30 days, you can see all these with mint.com.
You get reminders for your payment due dates. Isn’t it nice to be able search all of your transactions of your credit cards, checking accounts at one place? You can do that with mint.com.
It is free of service. It is very safe all of your data is encrypted. You can not do any transaction or modify any thing via mint.com. You can just read your transactions. So it is very safe and there is no problem even if some one gets access to your mint userid and password. This website is maintained by the company that writes security software for major banks.

How I lost 30 pounds in 3 months?
Three months back my weight was 205 pounds (93 kgs), I am 6 feet tall so my BMI was 27.8 which is midway between overweight and obesity. For a healthy person BMI should be between 18.5 and 25, 25 to 30 is over weight and above 30 is obese. I decided to loose weight and become healthy again. For this I did lot research on weight gain/loss, and was on rigorous diet and workout for 3 months and lost 30 pounds, with this by BMI came down to 23.7. In this post I will share my experience with you.
Normal person burns 10 calories per pound per day, that means a person weighing 200 pounds will burn 2000 calories per day. If one can maintain one’s calorie intake below that mark they will start loosing weight. The norm is that for 3500 calorie deficit you will loose one pound. So if you want to loose 2 pounds per week, the deficit should be 7000 calories per week, which is quite easy. The problem is that most people don’t realize how high their calorie intake is. I used to take rice and curry for both lunch and dinner, with rice and curry I can not count my calories so I decided not to eat rice and curry till I achieve my desired weight. Below was my menu for the past 3 months.
